*South Central Chapter of ASID Gold Award 2009 *IIDA Award of Excellence 2009 Commercial Design Interiors, LLC was approached by Caliente Grille to develop a new restaurant Brand to be franchised throughout the Gulf South. The concept is to use simple materials put together creatively. Each location will use the same materials, but no two will look alike. For the premiere location, Commercial Design Interiors, LLC utilized existing structural impediments in the design rather than cover them. Mechanical and electrical equipment hang along and underneath the exposed ceiling, turning the exposed structure into a visual pattern. Using raw materials throughout the design, such as wood, glass, metal and concrete, an industrial aesthetic is created.
